Description

This version of  Little Black Sambo has been collected into Wallace C. Wadsworth’s  The Real Storybook, retaining Helen Bannerman’s original text but illustrations by Margaret Evans Price. This version features three illustrations, the first two depict Sambo as completely blacked-out save for an oversized, orange undershit. The last illustration shows Sambo with his red jacket on sitting at a table and surrounded by stacks of pancakes, and, curiously, curly but brown-colored hair and noticeably red lips.

This collected edition also contains Peter Rabbit, The Gingerbread Man, Three Bears, and Teeny-Tiny Woman among others.
