Description
The collection contains 50 popular children’s stories, including The Story of Little Black Sambo. This version retains Bannerman’s original text and illustrations, though the layout is compressed so that multiple illustrations and lines of text appear on each page. Additionally, the collection uses Bannerman’s line art but alters the coloring of the illustrations. For instance, here Black Jumbo appears in a bright yellow pin-striped outfit, as opposed to his green jacket and red striped pants in the original book. The tigers are also colored a sickly brown and gold.
